The Chefs at NYC Women in Food 2007
Chefs Einav Gefen, Kathryn Gordon, Sabrina Sexton, Erica Wides, Rebecca Milliken, Gerri Sarnataro and scores more volunteers created a sumptuous buffet for the inaugural NYCWIF event in 2007. This year, we had hors d'oeuvre with local, sustainable food donated by Satur Farms and Whole Foods Market!
Women Chefs & Restaurateurs
The mission of the Women Chefs & Restaurateurs (WCR) is to promote the education and advancement of women in the restaurant industry and the betterment of the industry as a whole. Formed in 1993 by eight of the nation's top women chefs and restaurateurs, WCR has grown to a national membership of over 2,000 members, offering a variety of networking, professional and support services. New York Women's Culinary Alliance
New York Women's Culinary Alliance (NYWCA) is an organization that promotes cooperation and education among women in the food industry. The membership of the Alliance, which includes a cross section of food professionals, share information through member generated programs and seminars. Les Dames d'Escoffier is an international organization of women leaders who create a supportive culture in their communities to achieve excellence in the food, beverage and hospitality professions. Les Dames d'Escoffier is the only organization of its kind: a world wide philanthropic society of professional women leaders in the fields of food, fine beverage and hospitality.
